2014 Overhill Nation Planting of the Corn Gathering

The 2014 Planting of the Corn Gathering was held on April 25-26 at Caney Creek Village. It was a very good gathering.

We had members from our new clan, the Blue Clan from South Carolina, and several dancers were present as well. Of course, many of our regulars were able to visit each other again.

The weather was fantastic, we had good ceremonies, and Chief Man Many Trees had copies of his book available.

Quite a few people moved into new positions in their clans or in the Nation. There was a lot of good fellowship over the weekend.

Our young warriors really stepped up in a number of ways.

Some of our wolves even had a wolf sleep over at Man Many Trees' house.

We are all looking forward to September's gathering.
